Recently, my daughter told me she heard an old friend of hers had a
heart attack and she was only twenty eight. I couldn't believe what
I was hearing! I'm not much older than that myself (lol), and it
alarmed me to know the horrible way I have treated my body over
the last decade could result in the same outcome.
Between Power Lunches and Law and Order, I must say it has all taken
its toll. Deciding to become healthier is a decision everyone will
have to make sooner or later. Why not make that decision sooner?
Hearing the news of younger women than I dropping dead is
sobering, and what's more sobering is there go I but by the grace of
God.
Have you made a commitment to a healthier you this year? I'm not
talking about New Year's Resolutions, I'm talking about a lifetime of
change.
2010 cannot be business as usual. We are living in uncertain times,
health care reform debate raging, and health care costs are out of
our control. We cannot depend on anyone else to write the pages
of our future. It is paramount for us to write the end of our own story.
Decide to pick up your pin today.
Won't you join me this year in the commitment to a new HEALTHIER

Keep Growing!!
5,4,3,2,1...HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Were the words uttered all over the world
just a few days ago. It's hard to imagine with one turn of the calendar,
a new century begins. In struggling to grasp the notion that everything
in 2009 that went undone will some how be accomplished in 2010, I
realized that some of those undone items need to stay undone.
Instead, I thought about the great fascination with living in the past so
many people have. You know reminiscining on what could of, should
of, would of been?
As the new healthier outlook comes into view, I must admit, living in the
past hinders progress everytime. This year should be the year of
discovery of new places, people and things.
Have you continued to gow in your own lives? Growth is important to
your family, to your career to your sanity. Pick something early this year
to learn, and stick with it until you get good at it.
Decide to continue to expand and grow. Your life will be made all the
better for it.

The Freedom of Freedom

Last night I spoke with my dear friend of almost thirty years whom I
consider one of the smartest individuals I have ever met. As we shared
our visions, dreams and 2010 declarations, we both discovered we
were both in the same place. We had pulled off the veneer of niceties
and discovered it was okay not only to talk about what we wanted
but to create that destiny through our own speech, work and belief.
We both screamed and laughed because for so many years, though
we always believed we both would be unbelievably great someday,
with the unleashing of our fears we discovered that someday is now.
I can't explain how being liberated from past sorrows, beliefs, and
hindrances can demand change in your life instantly, but I can tell
you that there is a freedom in freedom that cannot be explained,
destroyed or captured.
IS YOUR SOMEDAY NOW? What stops you from embracing your goals
and believing for your present. Make it your business today to be
liberated.

Winter's Frigid Temperatures
Today I heard the wind speaking to the birds. Not too loud at first, then
stronger and more forceful. By the time the full statement was out, the
trees, trash cans and cars were shaking in their boots. The oratory left
behind 10 degree temperatures and two inches of snow.
During dropping temperatures, some people experience what is called
"winter blues," because they only want to hybernate, stay underneath
the covers, and eat food cooked in one pot.
Resist the temptation to sulk and think too much during this frigid
winter. Decide you will be the hot chocolate of your hame and stay
motivated about your 2010 declarations and goals.
